I decided to share retr0gamer guide and it really helped me with TR2! This is my method that uses one mod to run Tomb Raider 2 with the following fixes: 1: Removes the windows borders in fullscreen mode 2: Displays the game correctly in widescreen mods with apect ratio correction 3: Alternative method for fixing FMV's not playing 4. Adding higher quality FMV video cutscenes CREATED BY retr0gamer GUIDE INDEX Overview 1.

Actually the Tombraider 2-3-4 patch only works on those versions only, not Tomb Raider 1. Widescreen Patch Tomb Raider 4k. Harmony Improvisator. Tomb Raider II - PCGaming. Wiki PCGWKey points For Windows 8 and later apply the fullscreen border fix. Frame rate is capped at 3.

Widescreen Patch Tomb Raider 4

Where to download 3. Installing the patch 4. Additional Help 1.

Notes This mod will also allow you to add mods and modify textures but I won't be covering it here. You can do some cool stuff like replace the textures with the iOS ports textures. This patch was created by peixoto from www.tombraiderforums. Interchange 1 Third Edition Teacher Book. com and I take no credit for creating this excellent patch.

Where to download The patch can be downloaded from the following link. Installing the patch Extract the downloaded file and copy the Tomb2fix folder to the Tomb Raider directory (for example copy it into the 'C: xxxxx Steam SteamApps common Tomb Raider (II)' folder) You can either run the Tomb2fix.exe file within the 'C: xxxxx Tomb Raider (II) Tomb2fix' folder or better yet add this file as a non-steam game in the usual manner. This should fix the windows borders and aspect ratio issue. In case you don't know, basic options including resolution can be changed by right clicking on Tomb Raider (II) in your steam library, selecting properties. Click on Select Launch Options and enter '-setup' in the text box. FMV fix If FMV cutscenes still don't play then you can use this fix. This fix also replaces the FMV cutscenes with much higher quality versions so is probably worth doing anyway.

Lwmte at tombraiderforums.com has kindly uploaded higher quality versions of the cutscenes that can be used for this mode. The cutscene files can be found here: Download all the movie files in this link and copy them into the FMV folder in the Tomb Raider (II) directory. *NOTE* Do not delete the original movie files. I've not tested this but I've heard that the game will not play cutscenes if these files are missing. If the cutscenes still do not play then open with a text editor such as wordpad the Tomb2fix.ini file located in the Tomb2fix folder. Change the line 'scaleFMVs=True' to 'scaleFMVs=False'. This worked for me so hopefully it will work for you.

Additional Help Check out the mods help file within the Tomb2fix folder for additional information and help. There's extensive information there on how to use the mod to add stuff like new textures and gamepad support. Leave a comment if you need any help or if there are any mistakes in the guide!
